About Us

The JASNA Temecula Valley Reading Group is a chapter of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA). JASNA is a non-profit organization composed of members of all ages that seeks to give readers across the United States the opportunity to learn more about and explore Jane Austen’s works. As a non-profit, all group leaders are volunteers and simply participate in reading groups, like this one, for their love of Austen.

The JASNA Temecula Valley Reading Group originally started in the early 2000s and wrapped up about fifteen years ago. This left a gap for Austen fans to meet with other Janeites. As such, Suzanne and Candace—mother and daughter, as well as Jane Austen enthusiasts—sought to bring Austen’s legacy back to Temecula and revive this reading group in 2024.

We alternate between meeting via Zoom and in person here in the. Temecula Valley. We have high hopes to also hold Austen-inspired teas and to play Regency card games and board games.

Please join us! We meet on the second Saturday of every month, with some breaks, typically in July and December.
